Institute Overview
S.R. Educational Institute of Law (SREI) is located at Wazirpur Jehalpur, near Civil Lines, in Dabrai, Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh. The institute is affiliated to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra, and its law programmes are approved by the Bar Council of India.
S.R. Educational Institute was established on 30 April 2009 by Shri Ramjilal Prashant, a former Pradhan and Sarpanch, with the aim of bringing quality higher education within reach of students from the villages around Firozabad. It runs today under the leadership of Managing Director Dr. Vishwadeep Prashant and Director Prof. (Dr.) R.S. Verma, as a unit of Shri R.L. Prashant Samajik Vikash & Garibotthan Sikshan Sansthan.
SREI offers six undergraduate and professional programmes — BA, B.Sc, BBA, B.PES, LL.B, and the five-year integrated BA LL.B — along with supplementary English-speaking, computer, and government job preparation courses. Hostel accommodation is available on campus for both boys and girls, and the trust supports eligible students through fee reimbursement. SREI held its first Annual Function in 2023 and its second in 2024, honouring students from the district who achieved top results in their UP Board examinations.
Founder's Message
In our time, we appealed to MLAs and ministers to open a law college and a technical college in our own district, so that students would not have to travel far from home to study — but it never happened. We did manage to get a residential government Ashram Padhati Inter College approved near the district headquarters. Still, our dream remained: that every village and every home would have access to education, and that no child would go without it for want of money. Children from poor families are often just as capable as anyone else, but many never get the chance to prove it.
Officers and employees posted far from the district headquarters had nowhere nearby to educate their sons and daughters across all courses. This institution exists for them too — built as a merit-based college, free of malpractice, where a child's own ability decides their progress.
Today I am proud that my children have turned that old dream into a real institution. Building this college is not just building a building — it is building the nation. My good wishes to everyone at S.R. Educational Institute: may it run well, may it shape children's futures, and may its name one day be known not just across the country but across the world.

This institution was established on 30 April 2009 with a clear purpose: that students from the villages around us could access quality higher education close to home, go on to government and private-sector careers, and play an active part in the progress of their society and their country. That is still the work we do, and it depends on the active partnership of students and their families.
Education is the key to success — not just examination marks, but the all-round development of character, confidence, and capability it takes to stand on one's own feet. I would ask parents to choose institutions that recognise what their children are actually capable of, and that build an environment for that — not just an environment for passing exams. Management, faculty, guardians, and students are the four pillars this institution rests on, and our effort is to bring all four together in service of our students' progress.
